Mikaelsgården aimed at those who live in homelessness and social vulnerability. Here you can get support in contacts with authorities, such as social services and health care. We also offer food, community and warmth, as well as the possibility of showers and warm clothes.
Mikaelsgården is a day shelter that provides support to adults living in homelessness, struggling with addiction, mental illness or experiencing other social problems. Day activities are complementary to the support provided by authorities and university-trained staff are there to provide both direct, as well as preventive assistance.
Mikaelsgården offers the possibility to use a computer, shower, have coffee, lunch and get community, but also provides support through individual conversations and when dealing with relatives. There is also the possibility of support in contacts with administrators, social services and authorities.
We who work at Mikaelsgården do what we can to provide you with support based on your needs. It is free to visit us and we have a duty of confidentiality.
Our mission
In the short term, we work to alleviate acute distress for those who seek our support. In the long term, we motivate you to try to change your life situation. We support you in keeping in touch with your private and professional network and link on to social services, addiction care, psychiatry and other health care.
Do you want to donate clothes or hygiene items to Mikaelsgården ?
Please contact us directly or contact the City Mission's Gåvomottagning.
